So what do I usually do during my day off? I eat and I hang out. Last Friday I went to "Jack and Jill's Too" for brunch then head out to Annenberg Space for photography to see the digital dark room exhibition. the food was great and the gallery was superb. the photographer that joined the exhibition are truly awesome. they are very creative, unique and bold. I do wish I would be like them one day

Central Park & Upper East Side

For the past 2 Christmas I don't know why I went to cold windy places. Last year was Japan and this time it's New York. It was so cold (according to me, okay?!) that my hand froze which means I couldn't take heaps of pictures. Central park is huge and I was "lost" for half an hour just trying to go from the upper west side to the upper east side.

so while I was "lost", I obviously took pictures, and didn't really bother to find a way out

I wore this Mickey mouse beanie and there are around 10 strangers talked to me because of this beanie. a lady asked me if I am from Japan. 3 dudes was playing with it, pulling Minnie off my ear! I got held by the security guard and they insist I need to left my beanie with them. It was a fun experience. I shall wear it again next christmas.

10 hours in Vegas

When you are bored, travelling to Vegas for a day might be a great solution to that. That's what I did around one month ago. I went for a day trip to Vegas. Left L.A at 7, back at 8, but due to the flight delay, I arrived at 10. It was a short but super crazy trip.

took a flight there. first time I used a self check-in machine

and rented a stupid convertible. ( my idea!!) It was so small. the cold weather was not helping. Nevertheless it's a bloody awesome experience

Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi

Like what I've stated in my previous post in July. I went to Japan fro x~mas 2010. I went to mount Fuji. I must admit that Mount Fuji is breathtaking from afar. I haven't get myself my lumix back then and I did not know the importance of taking a photograph with raws. So the quality of my picture is pretty low.

Korean BBQ in L.A is totally different from the one in Melbourne. I think most Korean restaurant in Melb serve marinated meat. Here? nope just meat and after it's cooked you can dip it in the sauce provided. It's a totally different experience! and it's a buffet so I ate like there is no more meat tomorrow. F.Y.I beef brisket and tongue is super duper yummilicious.

City of Angels II

addition to the City of Angels photo series that I made. LOL. I'm truly happy with these pictures. Many hates them,but many loves them too. A guy actually tried to buy the picture. I was like "seriously?" *touched*. I never really want to commercialised my photos. But at least, the fact that someone is willing to pay for the photos that I snapped+ edited reminds me that all my efforts are not pointless. I have ginormous prints of all the 3 pictures, but gave 1 of them to my friend. I hope that people will enjoy looking at the pictures I took.

I went to Knotts Berry Farm's Scary Farm! Well, for you who doesnt know, Knotts Berry Farm is a theme park and in October they open at night till 2am, where you can find the undeads are "resurrected" and they are lurking in the theme park.

I am not a fan of the undeads or scary maze. So I didnt even go to any of the maze!

Ok the photos that I post here are edited using different apps in my iPhone. So the quality of the picture won't be as good as if I use photoshop. Additionally I grabbed this picture from my friend's facebook album, they are not RAW or large JPEG files. So again it affects the quality of the picture :(

I am taking a digital photography class in USC. I am having lots of fun. It's a lot of work (at least to me, as I always strive to give my best), it can be time consuming, but taking this class is one of the best decision I've ever made. This is a part my 2nd photography project. I am required to take pictures of "a place". So I decided the place is the beach, and the theme is "all alone". You will notice that the colour purple is present in every photograph.

I watched Grease for the 2nd time. The first time I watched it with my parents in 2007.

I heart Grease. The songs are great. John Travolta was cute! Super cuteee. His eyes glittered. His smile is so hugee and sweet. But I guess age do no good to a man.... Nevertheless he is a good singer and dancer still

Besides that, the plot is quite interesting. About live, dreams, love, choices and DANCING! I love they way they twist twirl and shake it!

I wish I had went to high school not college! :( it seems awesome! Hahaha but I think I am having hell lots of fun too right now

Ola amigos!! Like what I've said I'm in the city of Angels! One thing you should try if you visit LA is SHOOTING!!!! I am quite lucky that my friends are like semi pro shooters or whatever you call em! So they kindly brought me along to shoot!

It was my first time, so I was kind of scared. I feared that someone in the room might shoot me. Additionally It's weird holding a tool that could end someone's life so easily. A power to kill someone is not what I want to have.

It aint cool to kill! I cant imagine whats in a soldier's mind, the first time they need to kill someone.

Well anyway aside from that, shooting is not as tough as I tought it would be. I could shoot "accurately" if the target is not moving. But I was using a small gun, I guess thats why! The bigger the bullet is the harder it gets.

I want to try shooting a moving target! :( no not a living creatures! I am not that sick.

So... I was in Taipei last month for like 4 days. and all I can say is " I love Taipei ". the food was great. everything was soooo CHEAP! great transportation system. generally safe. so many museums!!!!

so these are the few pictures I took in Taipei. I am too busy with schools and life to upload more pictures. but, if you ever visit taipei, try going to Danshui. It's a nice place. the view is not as amazing as the lakes/seas in Melbourne or perhaps Europe, but it worth your time.

2. Yummy / taiwanese snacks??? Shilin market!! be careful most of the food are deep fried. hahaha. Additionally for uniball pen lovers, there is this stationary shop near the MRT which sell the pen

3.xi men ding is an "uglier" version of shinjuku in my opinion. but you should go there for the sake of going. LOL

4. Visit the gu gong. it has the Qing's dynasty furnitures. *drools* forgive me but I love anything related to history. even the history exam in school. HAHAHA. and you should check out this thing called the curio box. I really wanna take a picture of things in the museum but it wasn't allowed. skip Sun yat sen museum, if you don't have much time and you can't read traditional Chinese.

5. Book lovers (those who could read traditional chinese) visit eslite book store!!!! you can find them in Taipei Main Station, near Taipei 101, etc. they have one branch open 24/7 , but I have no idea where it is.

and uh... I still haven't visit L.A Disneyland. :(

TOKYO DISNEYLAND

I was quite busy these few weeks. There reason is that I am going to L.A to *cough* study and of course to play, party, travel, go wild, basically just to have fun. So I will visit the Disneyland in L.A in a week time. I can't wait to do so, as I didn't get to really have fun back then when I visited Tokyo Disneyland.

I JUST HATE TOKYO DISNEYLAND... during xmas. The reason is that I queued 3 hours for a stupid ride. 45minutes to get a seat in a restaurant. I even queued for 20minutes to enter Minnie's House! I was there from 9a.m-5p.m, and I could only took 4 rides. It was mentally exhausting. I couldn't stand it. If only it was July, Tokyo Disneyland would be a terrific place to go wild. What I love the most about Tokyo Disneyland is the foods! it's so cute! Hong Kong's Disneyland's food wasn't as great as Tokyo's one.

chicken burger, with mickey's hand as the bread!! it's SUPER YUMMY!! If you ever visit Disneyland, you should consider trying it. I believe the restaurant where they sell this burger is on the right side of the main disney castle. I don't know whose castle it is. I know the one in HK's Disneyland is Aurora's.

This was taken when I was queueing for the Haunted Mansion ride. I tell you it's stupid. If you have no time, please skip this one. It was not scary at all. If you've been to Universal Studio Singapore, I would tell you that one is 30x better than this one.

The disneyland was so packed that all the thrilling rides have a queueing time of more than 3 hours. just imagine queueing for 4hours just to ride the space mountain. =.= So I decided to take "It's a small world" ride. I know it's lame, but who cares.

this is the main disney castle I was telling you. I asked a random Japanese guy to snap this pict. He succesfully made it looks like the castle is tilted to the left. One funny thing about Japanese, when they are going to take pictures, they will shout: ichi, ni, san CHEEE ZUUU! (translation, 1,2,3, cheese) it's so funny they way they say CHEEE ZUU!

WARNING: it seems like no Japanese could speak english. So if you visit Tokyo Disneyland , Disneysea, or Osaka's Universal Studio, do expect all the shows are in Japanese with no subtitle, Additionally before riding a THRILLING rides (a.k.a rides that forbid pregnant women, or people with certain heights). The staffs will inform everyone regarding the safety procedure. Good luck if you don't understand any Jap. It could be frustrating sometimes.

But anyway, those who want to go there, you should, just not on those few days before or after new year.

Domo

I know a cat. His name is Domo. Domo is a fat french cat. He is as charming as his dad, Puss-in-boots. But, he eats like his mum, Garfield's sister. He could eat a huge roasted chicken (supposed to be my food for dinner) all by himself. He can't stay still. SHINJUKU

I've been to HongKong's Causeway Bay, Singapore's Orchad road, Korea's Dong dai mun (or whatever they called it), Osaka's Shinsaibashi. But, they are nothing compared to Tokyo's Shinjuku!! Undoubtedly, it is the BEST shopping district that I've ever visited. (Ginza sucks btw, if you have less than 300,000 yen in your pocket)

Shinjuku has everything, a shopaholic could dream of. Pharmacies (like Guardian, Watson, the Chemist) offers a wide varieties of stuffs. around 30 colours of hair dyes and contact lens. they have cute furry boots, furry hats, furry ear muffs, furry jackets and HOT GUYS in those furry outfits. Shinjuku also has heaps of heavenly food with unique designs. In addition Ginormous Screen everywhere.

Due to the amazingness of Shinjuku, I did not take much picture as I was too excited to explore Shinjuku.

Maroon 5 concerts

I seldom watch concerts. So far I've only attended 3 concerts. 1st was Tokyo kosei concert in 2005 as I was in my secondary school military band and was expected to see it. The next one is Olivia newton John. Why? My mum is a huge fans of Olivia (Grease, what else?) and she found out about the concert and begged me to accompany her. I didn't know a single song sung by Olivia. Those concerts are great but I wasnt exited at all

So the last concert I went to was Maroon 5 concert. It was the first concert , I was excited to go to. As you could guess, I am a HUGE fan of Adam levine, Maroon 5's vocalist. Adam is so so so so sexy and charming. Additionally his songs are just simply amazing.

So yeah these are few pictures taken by my friend Schwarz during the concert.

Yep Sara Barrailes was the guest singer. They are cool! The concert was FANTASTIC. But it convinced me even further not to watch any other concerts! Reason? If I buy the seating ticket, even if I am in the centre, the peformers look so tiny. If i buy standing tickets, I am too short to have clear view of the performers. So to me, it's best to stay at home and see them in youtube! Free and clear! It's not like you can touch them during a concert! If I could touch (or perhaps kiss) Adam Levine, then I would go for all his concerts.

Asakusa Temple

I went to Japan for Christmas last year with my brother and 2 lil cuzzies. No our parents didn't go with us, as they were working. It was my first time going to Japan, I was bloody excited. The first thing we did when we arrived there was visiting the Asakusa temple. I did quite a lot of shopping there, which somehow I regretted. I did not know that in Kyoto, the prices of the same/ similar goods are much cheaper. I couldn't control myself when I see all those tiny cute souvenirs they sold along the way. a simple cup could look so artistic, unique.

Asakusa temple is a must to visit. It's breathtakingly beautiful. But, do avoid the temple if you are going on the new year' day. A friend of mine went there on new year's day and he couldn't even walk. It was bloody crowded.

Ira and me have been friends for nearly 3 years and soon we need to say goodbye as we're leaving Melbourne. Our days are numbered, so we took these pictures to serve as memories for the future.

I wish time would stop and let me enjoy our great friendship a little bit longer.
