Santa Barbara & Solvang
Thursday, 23 February 2012 [ 18:20 ]

Last month , my friends and I went to Solvang, a Danish village, located around 130 miles from L.A ( now, see why you gotta love L.A? it's so close to great places). Solvang means "sunny field" in Danish. Solvang is a home to few museums, missions and obviously all danish related things.

okay, pictures

this is me and my dear friend Lim 'tai tai' having brunch at Paula's Pancake House

i was so starving, I didnt take any picture of the pancake. It's a decent pancake but not the tastiest I've tried so far

After filling our tummies with carbs fats and sugar, we visited Hans Christian Andersen's Museum, Hans is the dude who tells awesome tragic stories like little mermaid or little match girl. I read his equally tragic biography. he is apparently a bisexual (this is totally fine), who always had unrequited love (this is tragic). obviously where all the inspiration his story are from.

nice cafe outside the museum

ok the other part of solvang beside the museum

Apparently they shipped the butter cookies all around the world

I like the quote

so while we were walking , we pass this restaurant, so we decided to try out their famous Aebleskiver

TADDAAA!! this is the famous Aebleskiver. I like it better without the jam

so after we had enough of solvang, we proceed to visit mission at Santa Barbara

okay.. last but not least, a group picture.

Snowboarding (snow summit)
Monday, 20 February 2012 [ 10:11 ]

Whee~ It's snowing in South Cali! :D hahaha so, I went snowboarding!!! :D :D I went to Snow Summit on Big bear mountain which is around 2 hours from L.A (another reason to love L.A).
I like Snow Summit except the fact that the snow aint that thick there. so it really hurts if you fell down, especially at the lower part of the trails. However if you have went to mountains in Europe or Japan or Canada, you gonna think Snow Summit is a joke. but compared to Mt.High, another mountain near L.A , it's better. much better I would say

so here are the pictures

the Burtons, mine's blueeee.

taking a group picsbefore going down the trail

stopped halfway to take picture. sadly there's no picture of me while snowboarding.

we actually snowboarded till the sun set. and I myself prefer night snowboarding. reason? Less people, awesome sight of the town/city's light from the mountain. the cons? it's much colder and more windy. but for snowboarding, I'll do anything.

another friend of mine. but ignore her, just look at the sky.

ok this is a picture of my friends, gracefully snowboarding :(  next time it would be my picture. hahaha. that's her first time snowboarding and she was doing amazingly well

overall it was an awesome weekend. im going there again, maybe tomorrow. hahahha

As New York rains
Thursday, 16 February 2012 [ 17:40 ]

As the raindrops falls
in this world so vast
Wont you take my hand?

As I cross the street
In this town so huge
Cant you smile to me?

As the train departs
With no one inside
Is it fun posing?

As I sit alone
With my hands frozen
Does it hurt to laugh?

It is not always rainbows and butterflies
Thursday, 2 February 2012 [ 14:33 ]

What if it was paradise?
What if I pretend I was a king?
Still it is not always rainbows and butterflies
Then those two sides you ought to embrace
Within maybe you would see a smile

And maybe just maybe , you would smile again

just another friday
Monday, 16 January 2012 [ 15:28 ]

So what do I usually do during my day off? I eat and I hang out. Last Friday I went to "Jack and Jill's Too" for brunch then head out to Annenberg Space for photography to see the digital dark room exhibition. the food was great and the gallery was superb. the photographer that joined the exhibition are truly awesome. they are very creative, unique and bold. I do wish I would be like them one day

these are the pictures that are taken with . one thing I hate about taking pictures : I seldom appear in a picture.

ma tres belle amie

 le grand petit déjeuner

I like taking pictures from the ground. it looks.... well... different

this picture wasn't planned or anything but interestingly everyone seemed to be looking at different things

well that's all for that Friday. Au Revoir!
